The WWT London Wetland Centre is a nature reserve that spans 100 acres. Situated in Barnes, the WWT London Wetland Centre is approximately 35 minutes from Fulham Pier Hotel via a bus from Putney Bridge Station / Gonville Street to Barnes / Red Lion. It is an urban oasis with lakes, ponds and gardens that attract diverse wildlife such as otters, rare birds and insects.
There is the opportunity to meet Asian Short-clawed otters, the smallest otter species in the world, with daily otter talks at 11am and 2pm. Wildlife spotting changes throughout the year as the seasons and climates change, attracting different birds and insects to the reserve. The café provides somewhere to sit down and as you explore the site, you can find out more about WWT’s conservation work across the globe.
Opening Hours
WWT London Wetland Centre is open 364 days a year from 10am to 4.30pm. Last admission is at 3.30pm. For the most up-to-date information, we recommend checking the WWT London Wetland Centre website before your visit.
