Oktoberfest Near Fulham

Usually running from mid-September to October is a German tradition which has grown in popularity in the UK. Oktoberfest is an opportunity to enjoy a german beer in a stein and have a Bavarian bite to eat. We’ve recommended a couple of places that are great for the occasion in Fulham.

Oktoberfest at Fulham Pier

Just steps from Fulham Pier Hotel, head to the Orange Box on 3 October for an Oktoberfest celebration in partnership with Löwenbräu, a historic brewery in Munich. It promises to bring a festival atmosphere to the pier with authentic Löwenbräu beer, bratwurst, performances from a live Oktoberfest band and DJs to keep up the fun energy. Learn more and book via the Fulham Pier website.

Oktoberfest at Temperance Fulham

17 minutes down the river is Temperance Fulham, hosting an Oktoberfest theme from 6 September to 10 October. As well as a lively local atmosphere, you can enjoy two Oktoberfest-themed craft beers from Thornbridge Brewery. There’s also bottomless brunch and German-themed cocktails to try. Find out more details and book on the Temperance Fulham website.

Away from Oktoberfest and as evenings turn cooler, it’s a lovely setting for a beautiful meal by the River Thames. Here are our recommendations for riverside dining in Fulham.

The Crabtree

With a more traditional gastropub-style menu, The Crabtree is a popular riverside location. It’s little more than 10 minutes north up the river from Fulham Pier Hotel. Alongside the regular menu, there’s a Sunday menu with traditional roast dinners and different options. Find out more and book on The Crabtree website.

The Waterside

Another pub option is The Waterside which also has two riverside terraces. It’s further than the others and around 45 mins from Fulham Pier Hotel using public transport but provides a variety of food as well as the traditional pub menu. You can also have a Sunday roast there and it provides a different view of the river to the hotel from the terraces. See the menus and book your place on The Waterside website.
